At 21, Karl left Sweden to take the Gospel to unreached peoples in Africa. The conviction that followed him has never changed: hearing the Gospel at least once should be the birthright of every person.
With his wife Jennifer, he founded Joshua Campaign in Ethiopia in 1997—building work across campaigns, church partnerships, training and aviation.
A trained helicopter pilot, Karl flew the campaign work himself. Today his focus includes One Chance for Every Person, Operation 326, and mobilizing the global church for the remaining assignment.

Joshua Campaign
Founder
Karl and Jennifer founded Joshua Campaign in Ethiopia in 1997. Five-day Gospel campaigns are prepared with local pastors, alongside church planting with Ethiopian leaders and mission aviation reaching remote communities. The work has given away 5.2 million salvation books, celebrated 25 years in 2024, and has been led in Ethiopia by Per Akvist since 2007.

Mission One Eleven
A train-and-deploy pathway raising a new generation of pioneer missionaries around a defining conviction: every person has the God-given right to hear the Gospel at least once. Schools have operated in Sri Lanka, the Balkans, the USA and Sweden.

One Chance global
Its ventures include Pioneer, Equip and Festivals. Aviation is raising up a new generation of helicopter pilots and mechanics to find unreached people groups. Twenty-five percent of the world’s population belongs to frontier people groups; fewer than 0.1% of these groups have ever heard the name of Jesus. For roughly every 30 missionaries sent to reached people groups, one goes to frontier people groups.

The Pentecostal Church of God has proclaimed Bible truth for more than 100 years, since 1919, and includes more than 500,000 members across 77 nations. Karl serves in global missions leadership with the PCG.
